This is one of the best opportunities for a proactive and "hands-on" Accountant to join a growing division who are also part of a large international Group. Turnover is predicted to more than double in the next 5 years and they have recently moved to a newly refurbished city centre location.
You will occupy a broad role with oversight for the monthly reporting requirements of the business whilst controlling cash management and other statutory obligations/tax requirements. You play a key role in setting budgets whilst working on other commercial tasks such as sales and margin analysis in addition to business partnering with a range of operational leaders. You will support the MD & FD in driving the strategic agenda across the organisation with a clear opportunity & defined succession plan to transition into the FD role.
There are lots of projects to get involved with, implementing new systems and procedures and other income streams. No 2 days will be the same, this is clearly an exciting time for the business
• Review of monthly management accounts and preparation of year-end accounts
• Reporting to the parent company and liasing with their accounts team
• Control of cash flow
• Margin Analysis and Sales Analysis
• Managing the finance team
• Implementing new a ERP system
We are looking for candidates from the following background;
• Qualified Accountant - ideally ACA and big 4 trained
• Definitely not a number cruncher, looking for a commercial accountant who can work closely with the MD/FD
• Ambitious, as there is the opportunity to develop as the company expands
• Excellent IT, organisational and communication skills
• Proactive approach towards innovation
• Team player and customer focussed
